Pepper Mill Finial Reveal

Remember that pepper mill from last week's What Would You Do With It Wednesday?  The one I put the finial on...well I promised you a reveal....
Do you remember how those pepper mills started from this post?
  Here it is looking better already....
For the finial, I coated with off white spray paint. 
Then I attempted this paint technique.  Candle wax, brown, candle wax, then blue.  Some rubbing and sanding and we finally got...
