Teen Week -- Day 1 -- Frame Jewelry Holder

All this week I am going to be showcasing projects for my teenager's room.  These can of course be used in other kid rooms or adapted for you!
Day 1 is a jewelry holder frame.  I have seen these all over blogland.  So y'all know I had to try one of my own!
I just took a frame I already had that had broken glass.  Paint it black.  Add a two layers of black netting in the center with the trusty staple gun.  I was lucky enough to get my netting for 38 cents in the remnant bin!  Some upholstry tacks along the bottom for necklaces.  A piece of scrap fabric stapled on as a hanger.  And I used some hot glue all around to make sure it was not going ANYWHERE.
I love it!!  Stay tuned all week for teenage room fun.   (Okay can you really say a teenager's room is fun??)  Just one request -- don't even ASK for before pics of the room...sigh....

I was inspired by various blogs on this one but last week's post on So You Think You Can Decorate really got me going!  Linking this up there in viewer inspirations!

I like how yours turned out. Great idea using the upholstery tacks. I have mesh to make my own, just haven't gotten around to it yet. Thanks for sharing!

Cute! I really need to make one of these but just haven't gotten around to it. Hopefully when I do, it will as cute as yours!

I need this!!! I have a small one, but I have a LOT of jewelry. :s I was digging through my stash today trying to find one small earring, Grr.

Quick reminder: I hope you'll link up to the "Show Me the Progress" party this week. It goes live Tuesday night and will be up all day Wednesday. :) Just about ANYTHING counts as progress (even a list of ideas!), and it doesn't have to be about a Decorating Dilemma. ;)

I have an empty frame and this is on my to-do list, I'm just waiting to hunt down some gold burlap. Yours looks great!

Cute! I have seen similar projects like this but I like your idea to put the additional hangers across the bottom. Perfect touch!

Love finding other southern gals out in blogland!

Have a blessed week!

You totally inspired me to make hairbow holders for my little girl! :)

I have seen these everywhere too. I really want to make one for me (am I a teenager at heart? YIKES!)

Thanks for the blog love! Hittin' ya back!

I love this. I recently posted a similar project. Like wall art but also handy.

That is a great idea!!! I found you from Make it for Monday. I am your newest follower!!! I can't wait to see what you do next!

Hi Angie! You have some wonderful ideas! I love checking out your stuff. It all turns out so well! I hadn't thought of using netting. I've seen chicken wire, but where do you find that these days?!? I love the idea. Great job!

I love this. I'm excited to see all your teen fun this week.

I love this! I have no jewelry organization to speak of and this would be perfect!

This is a great idea. Another thing that can work if you can't find netting are those plastic sheets that are used for needlework. I found mine at Michael's and Hobby Lobby for like 25 cents a sheet.
Stopping by by way of Organize and Decorate Everything.

Thank you so much for coming to the party Angie. I knew I could count on you to save me from being alone. You know I love this! Great idea to use the upholstry tacks. It looks so great and I love having jewelry on display. Is your daughter loving it?
