Indianapolis Colts Coat Hanger DIY

My oldest daughter is a huge Indianapolis Colts fan...so what's a crafty mom to do but whip up a coat rack!
We ran into these horseshoe shaped hangers at the flea marker.  I think they were $2 a piece or so.  I just spray painted them a dark blue.
I cut out the colts logo on the trusty Silhouette craft cutter and used that as my stencil.  Painting carefully with a dark blue from Apple Barrel.
The board?  A $1 thrift store shelf.  The shelf supports were just tongue in groove and came right out.  I spray painted the remaining board white.  (I heart Krylon don't you??)
The shelf I used was slightly shabby.  I looooved it.  So I painted over the shabby so if you look close...still slightly shabby...just enough to add character...
A few screws for the horseshoes and some sawtooth hangers and I was done!
Do you think this is going to help keep my teen's floor clean??  Nah...I don't either...but she convinced me it would...
Go Colts!

Ha! I love how realistic you are about your teen keeping her room clean. ;) Did you cut with vinyl to make your stencil? Love the hooks!!

Thanks for joining my "Crafty Cutter" party! Hope you'll stop by Serenity Now again soon. :)

This just looks beautiful, sometimes implementing creative ideas can create something fruitful. The good thing is that in few dollars a perfect piece is created that is now ready to use.
