I am guest posting three places this week! :) Busy bee! I will keep y'all informed when they go live!
Two things to audition for before we get started tonight:
1) Audition for OMTWI right here on The Country Chic Cottage by Wednesday of this week.
2) Link up over the next two weeks for a chance to win a trip to Tennessee to hang out with Gina at The Shabby Chic Cottage, me, and some more fab bloggers. Head on over to Gina's for the details.
For tonight, I realized I had not talked this year about how beautiful weeds can be...
Yes honeysuckle is usually considered a nuissance -- something to be sprayed with weed killer...
But it gorgeous and smells great!
So I got some off of the creek bank and added it to a mason jar.
What weeds have you decorated with lately?

Oh I love honeysuckle! I wish I knew where to find some now. :) Thanks for sharing. Chris
Seriously, a weed? We paid good money for our honeysuckle bushes. Isn't it weird what people pay for. We love our honey suckle. I just built a new trellis for the one down by the potting shed.

I love honey suckels! We have some in our yard and they grow wild all over our street. THe air smells so sweet.:)
I love honeysuckle too. I have fond memories of it from my childhood. We lived on an abandoned farm with a very large honeysuckle bush. When I was little, I'd break off the stem to enjoy the sweetness inside. There is a smaller bush where I live now, but it is in the leaf/compost pile and too far away from the house to enjoy. Maybe someday I'll get another one.
wow..honeysuckle..wish I have 1 :)
I'd no idea honeysuckle was classified as a weed. It's one of my favourite fragrances!
Hi! Great post! I hope you'll stop by and link up this week.

Planted honeysuckle in my backyard. May be awhile before it's flowering here in the NW, but now I'm planning to put some in a mason jar :) Very sweet!
Honeysuckle always takes me back to summer days when I was a girl. It doesn't get mush sweeter than honeysuckle in a mason jar. Pure and comforting. Lisa~
Growing up in the South and a former Tennessean, we did consider this as a weed and usually only saw the big bushes in the woods. We now live in Vegas and it is one of the showcase plants out here. It is everywhere and such a nice reminder of my roots out here in the desert. Love your idea and am si digging the mason jar!! Beautiful!
It's good to know that you can appreciate honeysuckle. Although considered as weeds, they exist with their beauty and scent for a reason like what you did, using it to liven up a humble wooden deck perhaps? This can be an inspiration to others for sure.
