Spray Painting a Mirror with Krylon Dual

I had some leftover paint from my Krylon Dual paint review and I had the perfect mirror to redo!!  Check out what I did with my leftover spray paint!!  Plus read on for tips on spray painting a mirror!
The mirror was hanging in our bathroom when we bought this house.  I replaced it some time ago but kept the mirror cause I do love the shape and frame!!
I broke out the Krylon Dual in sky blue!!  Krylon Dual is paint and primer in one....
Now I carefully covered the mirror with newspaper and taped around the edges.  The mirror was not coming out of that frame.  Tip:  If you do this tape all your newspaper ends down COMPLETELY.  I had some spray get under and onto the glass.  Nothing a little elbow grease could not get off.  But that is my tip of the day! :)  Keep y'all from using your elbow grease!
This mirror is going to our little cabin on the Tennessee river!  The blue will fit in with the "nautical" feel I would like for down there.
I love the frame on this mirror with the details!  I think the blue paint made them pop more than that red/gold combo from before...
A gorgeous transformation and now she is ready for her new home!
What have you spray painted lately?  Have you tried the new Krylon Dual Spray Paint?
Krylon did give me some paint to try out.  But I was not compensated in any way.  And as always the opinions are all my own.

Ohh I think I've seen that paint but haven't tried it yet. I love the color you picked, breezy!

Hi Angie Sweetie...
Oh how beautiful this mirror turned out. Just gorgeous for a river cabin. If you hung the mirror by a large ribbon, you could add one of those glittered or natural starfish to the top.

I have tried this Krylon paint and love it. I used a soft pink in the bathroom. Made over a birdcage that was green and a wooden shelf. Turned out gorgeous. I get so excited to get the project finished, I always forget the camera.

Have a gorgeous evening, and thanks for sharing sweet friend. Country hugs, Sherry

Love it! I haven't seen the dual in my stores here. I'll keep looking!

Bought my first can tonight--after reading your review. I have an old "ice cream parlor" chair that I have in the garden. Right now, it's green and doesn't show up. Pretty soon, it'll be Banner Red! I think it'll look great against our gray house.

Wow! Great blog!
I've just discovered it.
So much inspiration! So many projects!
Love it!

It really updated the mirror. This is the first time I have seen DUAL, paint and primer in a spray can. I will have to look out for it.

Awesome! What a fantastic color and I love the details on the mirror. I have been looking for something like this to hang over my daughters dresser. I had not heard yet about the dual spray. How exciting! I have several projects I could use this on right now. I hope you will come share this at my VIP party today. http://designergarden.blogspot.com/2011/08/vip-party-22.html
