Hi Country Chic Cottage readers!

I'm Vivienne from The V Spot and I am so happy that Angie included me in her Handmade Holidays series.
During the holidays, my "go-to" host/hostess gifts are either candles or wine.  However, with a little glass etching cream it's easy to make that bottle of wine a bit more special...  just add a couple of holiday inspired wine glasses.  One Naughty and one Nice.
Start with an electronic cutting tool (or store bought stencil letters).  We'll be using the negative space to create our stencil, so you can peel out the letter and throw it away.  Make sure to save the centers of the letters when necessary.
Because I "eyeball" my letters into place, it's a good idea to set the glasses side by side and make sure they are matched up evenly.  These were not and I had to move the Nice letters down just a smidge.  A little trial and error is OK.
Notice that I haven't placed the center of the y and the g yet.  If I filled that whole space up with etching cream it would look really weird, so do take care to save the centers.
When your letters are where you want them, go ahead and glop on the etching cream.  (And I mean glop in a careful way, of course.)
Follow the instructions on the etching cream as to how long to leave it on your glasses.  You can pick etching cream up in any craft store for less than $10, and a jar lasts a very long time.
Pick out a bottle of wine, add your glasses, and you've got a nice little gift for your host.
Easy! Thanks for having me, Angie!
Happy Holidays!
