Do you have everyday victories? You know the ones -- you actually get supper on the table before 8 pm, you actually make it to the gym, you make it to that baseball game and see your little one's base hit... So many little victories that we each need to celebrate each and every day. I am taking time today to celebrate one of my everyday victories. The victory I am celebrating today is actually taking time for myself. I do not accomplish this victory as often as I probably should. Frankly, I have just recently began to understand the importance of this little thing. When I do get some well deserved "me" time, the results are glorious!
Getting together with the girls for lunch on a Sunday is time enough. It is a victory for a busy mom to be able to relax with friends and some great food. I think it makes me a better mom. Time for mommy to breathe, relax, and not have to worry about the laundry, dishes, etc, etc. Sometimes my "me" time comes in the form of an episode of "Cupcake Wars". Hey I take what I can get and sometimes that is just a one hour television program. Maybe you don't even have an hour? I have taken 15 minutes on the front porch rocker to clear my head, recharge, and get back to being mom. An everyday victory for sure! No matter what it takes for you to recharge, take the time for yourself and consider it an everyday victory. You are worth that ice cream cone in your car ALONE with no kids. You are worth that walk around the block with nothing but you and nature. You are worth whatever it takes for you to recharge your batteries and get back to the task at hand. So make your everyday victory some time for YOU this week!

"Me" time is sooooooo important, glad you're making it part of your schedule even if it is just 15 minutes. As you said, "the results are glorious!" which I thought was a perfect adjective for it!
