I wanted to take my mantel (mantle) into summer with some patriotic stars and stripes. If y'all are new here...I don't really have a mantle I just pretend with this large shelf in my living room...shhhh. Now let's do a mantle tour...shall we...
It all started with that gorgeous Pottery Barn American Flag that I made. I knew it was destined for the mantle. I then took a barn wood board and painted the words "stars and stripes" on it...
I layered in my patriotic canvas art...
My Ikea lantern got filled with some Christmas lights I found on clearance. These barn star lights were just too cute to pass up...
I then added my fireworks mason jar that I taught you how to make yesterday...
I wanted a rustic feel yet keeping it somewhat simple. After all summer is not about staying indoors it is about getting outside and enjoying it!
The result is the perfect way for our family to celebrate freedom this summer....
