Stenciled Flower Hang Tag

I am over at Craft Test Dummies today experimenting with some stencils I was sent from Creative Imaginations.  I wanted to share this flower hang tag that I stenciled with y'all cause I really love the way it turned out.

I started with a plain wood shape from the craft store.

I used my Silks glazes in gold to go over the entire thing.  Gold is not a color I normally would use but this was an experiment so I wanted to use some wild colors.

I then stenciled on a flower pattern in purple (another color I would never choose).  The stencil is from the Nature Stencil Kit.  The result was adorable!  I was so happy with the results.  Stepping out of my comfort zone on this one was definitely worth the rewards.  I drilled a hole and tied it up with a piece of twine.

These could easily be used on gifts as an extra little touch.  They are quick and easy to make.  The stencil worked perfectly with little or no bleed under.  I was sent these stencils to review but all opinions and projects are my own.  I hope you enjoy this one as much as I do.  Head on over to Craft Test Dummies to see what else I made with the stencils I was sent.
