Eating Healthier with @leancuisine #BYOL #cbias

Along with probably most of you, I have tried since the first of the year to eat healthier.  I have really done well so far this year but I usually fall off of the wagon at some point.  Fast and convenience foods are just too easy to grab when you are in a hurry.  Well say hello to the healthy alternative that is FAST and EASY!  Yes a healthy salad in minutes that actually tastes great.  How can you get your own?  Simple.  Just head to the frozen aisle of your local Walmart.

Lean Cuisine has a new line of salad additions that are sure to make your life easier.  This little box contains all of your salad toppings and dressing.  You just add lettuce to make a healthy salad for lunch or anytime.  It comes in four great flavors including:  southwest style chicken, asian style chicken, bistro chicken, and cranberry & chicken.  I picked up the southwest style chicken to test drive.  Head on over and see my entire shopping trip to Walmart if you are interested.

Most of you are probably wondering just how much this convenience is going to cost you.  Here the Lean Cuisine Salad Additions are $2.50.  When I compared that to purchasing all of the ingredients separately it frankly was not even a contest.  For just this flavor you would need:  grilled chicken, black beans, corn, roasted red peppers, poblano peppers, tortilla strips, and chipoltle ranch dressing.  Purchasing those on your own would add up fast.  So for a great price, you can get your salad done in less than 5 minutes total.  I don’t know if you can put a price on that convenience.

How does it taste?  I loved the southwest style chicken that I tried.  I can’t wait to try the other three varieties for myself.  Adding your own lettuce definitely puts a fresh twist to this salad that is just as if you did make it at home from scratch.  Ready to try your own?  Head on over and get a coupon to use then head to Walmart!  I see these as the ultimate in a fast, convenient, great tasting lunch alternative.

Thanks for this healthy tip, Angie. I have been trying to have a more healthy diet, but it seems every time I turn around there is something to celebrate. Like today, for instance, it’s The Super Bowl! I guess moderation is so much the key.
