I have a cherry limeade recipe today that you are going to love! Do you have a Sonic near you? If not, you are missing out. If so, did you know that you can make your very own cherry limeade right at home with just a few ingredients? I didn’t either! But now I know and I am a huge fan. I will be keeping the simple ingredients for this drink on hand at all times. No more making an emergency run to Sonic when it gets hot!
Cherry Limeade Recipe
- 1/4 cup cherry juice
- 1 lime
- Sprite
- Ice
Add 1/4 cup of cherry juice to a standard size glass. Cut 1 lime in four pieces. Squeeze three of the wedges into the cherry juice. Use the fourth wedge as a garnish if desired. Add ice to the glass then fill the rest of the way with Sprite. Use a straw to stir and enjoy your own homemade cherry limeade!
This recipe is really close to the Sonic original. I am however missing the Sonic ice. If you have ever been there, you know exactly what I am talking about! You can buy it by the bag however at a Sonic near you. So buy the ice, keep the ingredients on hand, and enjoy this cherry limeade recipe all summer long. If you need me, I will be on the porch with a tall glass of this refreshing drink all summer long. This won’t replace my sweet tea but it will be a refreshing change a few days a week.

Just finished doing some cleaning, phewy, am hot and so thirsty. Taking break to cool off, seeing your cherry limeade makes me want one but Sonic is bit far to go just for drink. Will get ingredients for this to cool off next time in small town 6 miles east of us.. Know what you mean about Sonic’s ice, crushed. Luckily our frig will give us crushed ice for my cherry limeade drinks.
We have 2 Sonics in Grand Junction, other one is even further away. We even stopped at Sonic for lunch while in Tucson last week, was on far western edge of city off freeway. Stopped at Sonic inTuba City, AZ on way home from Tucson also, had some lunch.
Not much out there between towns to stop at so stopped when we had chance. Pretty desolate out there but beautiful at same time, took lot longer getting home from Tucson than it did going to San Diego from home. Have great weekend Angie. Is in mid-high 90’s out here this week, how about TN?

I love Sonic’s Cherry Limeade. Altho Sonic is a couple miles from the house, how easy to make it at home without getting into the hot car to go get one. You are so right about the ice. I keep some in my freezer. Thank You for sharing. You will find me on my porch.

Love Sonic’s limeades! I prefer the strawberry one, and I bet I could switch out the cherry juice for strawberry and not even have to get into a hot car. 🙂
