I have a fun project for you today along with a blog hop and giveaway that you don’t want to miss. First up is my cork matted family doodle portrait. This is literally a five minute project that you can complete for your own home. And just look below at how darn cute it is……
This post and blog hop is actually sponsored by Expressionery. Each of the bloggers was allowed to pick their own stationary to complete a project with. They carry an amazing line by the fabulous Laura Kelly Designs. I knew right away that I wanted something from her Me and My Peeps Line. You can actually personalize these note cards with peeps that reflect your family members. There are so many to choose from and so many options that it was tough to finalize a design but I settled on this gem….
So darn adorable! I might have squealed when it came in the mail. For this project, I also used an old frame from the thrift store and the patterned cork stack from DCWV. I might just be infatuated with this printed cork stack. It is amazing right?
I just cut the cork to the size of the picture that was in the old frame. It is easily cut with just regular scissors.
The cork is not only printed with one awesome pattern but it is also adhesive. I know. Awesome. Just peel back the liner and you can stick it right over the existing picture in the frame.
Then just add your amazing Me and My Peeps card from Expressionery in the center with a few Glue Dots. Assemble your frame back together and this one is ready to display.
Now you can use the rest of the cards in the package to write notes to family and friends. These cards will put a smile on anyone’s face. Trust me. I love looking at my family doodle portrait daily. The Me and My Peeps line was perfect to capture our unique personalities in a fun and unique way.
