Holly here from Ribbons and Glue sharing with you an Anniversary Gift I recently made for my parents 40th Wedding Anniversary. Instead of giving them a plate, plaque or frame, I decided to make my parents a personalized 40th Anniversary keepsake out of Paper Mache numbers.
My parents have been happily married for 40 years now and my initial gift idea was to create something using past and present photos. Unfortunately, I live 2500 miles away so I wasn’t able to go digging through old boxes and it kinda ruins the surprise asking Mom to send some pics.
I used my Silhouette to cut out the Echo Park Swirls cut file and lettering then embellished the numbers with ribbon, rhinestones and Maya Road Stick Pins.
Ruby is the color for a 40th Wedding Anniversary and since I couldn’t use real rubies on my project, ruby ribbon was the second best option. I really like the way this project turned out. I just mailed it off this week and this post will go live before they actually receive there gift. Oh well, it’s the thought the counts.
Thanks for having me as your guest Angie! Holly 🙂
