Wallpaper for Windows Review and GIVEAWAY -- $75 value!

Oh yes a $75 giveaway!  But you have to wait til the end of this post! :)
I had the opportunity to review some product from Wallpaper for Windows.  I have been wanting to do this to the sidelights on our front door for years.  I love the idea of a decorative addition on the sidelights.  There have been curtains hanging on them ever since we have owned this house and it was just not ME!  I even toyed with the idea of doing some sort of faux stained glass treatment on them.  But Wallpaper for Windows came to my rescue!

With this product, you get privacy with the option to still see out.  It is easy to install, removable, and reusable.  Even if you don't opt for the details that allow you to see out, you still get the benefits of natural lights through the white areas without harsh rays that can damage your floors and furniture.  A bonus -- this product insulates your glass!   I love the fact that is easy to remove.  Let's face it, we all change our mind.  If in a few months I am not digging this look, in a few minutes I can go back to curtains.  But right now, I am digging this look!

 I ordered the Monte Carlo etched glass film.  I took advantage of the cut to size service and gave them my window measurements.  The film came in a box with instructions and a squeegee tool along with my cut to size vinyl.  The instructions were super simple.  I even put off installing this because I thought it was going to be complicated.  It took all of 15 minutes.  Super, super simple.  I did wait 1 hour before trimming the final end to size.  You see the cut to size service trims your vinyl on 3 sides but leaves the fourth side a little long.  This way you get a truly custom fit.  The trimming of the fourth side was a breeze and I was done!  Loving the new window look!

I have never heard of this product before. But I will be on the look-out for it now! Getting some for free would be even better! One day this fall, I cleaned my picture windows a total of 10 times each! I could not get rid of the streaks. After the sun set, they looked pretty good. But when the sun rose the next morning, I was back at square one. I would love a product that does a good job. I've tried everything...

I would love to try Fish Foam! We have a drooly basset hound who leaves her mark on the windows and two cats who believe they need to leave nose and paw prints on every window, mirror and picture glass they can. I swear it's their life's work; please make my life's work something else but trying to get streaks off of said objects!!

My Love Book Review and Giveaway

I was given the opportunity to review a book from My Love Book.  Plus you have a chance to win one! 

 But first what is a Love Book?  

A custom, personalized book for someone special (can be your spouse, boyfriend/girlfriend, mom/dad, best friend, brother/sister, etc.). To guide you through the process, you choose questions that are pertinent to your relationship - that you want to answer. They take your answers and create a professional, hardbound book for you to give to that special person. 

Hmmmm...sounds like a photo book doesn't it??

It's not another photo book.  It is more of an "answer" book.  The
questions help get those creative juices flowing, allowing you to say how
you really feel.  Some questions are simple, some are drag 'n drop, some
require more thought.  Again, you get to choose what you are comfortable
answering.

What did I think of My Love Book?

I made a book for my daughter who is graduating high school.  First of all, I love the fact that you can save your book and come back later to work on it.  There are many questions to choose from.  The minimum to answer to make a book is 18.  I did the 18 and published my book.  I was impressed with the wide variety of questions.  But some did require some major thought on my part.  There is a choice of three covers when you go to publish.  I do with there were a wider variety of covers.  There is an option to have your book reviewed by an editor to make sure you spelled everything correctly, etc.  I did not pick that option.  I was intentional in some of my mis-spellings.  Let's face it...y'all probably is not in their dictionary.  :)  I liked that I had the option to not have my book reviewed and to publish just as is.  I think that makes the book more from me.  The shipping was extremely quick and the envelope was not marked at all.  I love it when they don't mark the envelope so it is still a surprise!  The book itself was a hard back book that was high quality.  I think this will make a meaningful gift for my daughter.  Something for her to look back on and read when she gets older.  I can't wait to give it to her!
