Ever needed some really quick candle wraps for some votive holders? Company coming? Got someone to impress with your craftiness? Well this is quick, cheap, and EASY!
For the first one, I used my Cropadile. Okay if you don’t have one — you will just have to skip this one or just put holes in your fabric without grommets. I just love the Cropadile for putting in holes and grommets. Use a piece of fabric the same height as your glass and enough width to go almost all the way around. Rip those edges instead of cutting — makes it interesting…
A couple of holes on each side and thread that jute just like you were lacing your shoes.
Pull it tight and tie it off. One done — already! The next one is based on the same concept as my burlap and ribbon pillows. Cut a piece of burlap the same height as your glass and enough width to go all the way around. Remove some strings from your burlap on either side of you “opening”. Trust me — those strings just pull out.
Thread in the jute again (lace up those shoes). Tie it off — and number two is DONE!
Now for the taller one in the center. I have a thing for sweaters — sweater pillows, sweater balls…and now sweater votive wraps! You will need a piece of a sweater the same height as your glass and enough width to go almost all the way around (I think I have said that before…). For this one I used ribbon to “tie it up”.
Thread in your ribbon and lace it up!
Three candle wraps — super quick!
I am so happy you are participating and I’m glad that seven thirty three gets to be your first guest post. And these are uber-cool and I can’t wait to make a set for my mantle! 🙂
this is going to sound really lame, but those candles are so sexy! lol, seriously, they look like they are all wearing sexy little corsettes, love it! My master bath has a semi (semi b/c it’s not really decorated) french/corsette theme – I even ordered a vintage corsette on ebay years ago and framed it. Maybe one day I’ll have to post pictures of it, anyway, can’t wait to see your tutorial, b/c these will look great in my bathroom!
They are so freakin easy you won’t even believe it!! And I agree with you! I think they look like corsettes!! 🙂 oooo…you could do them in black see through material….
And my post is up!!
