What happens when you go to a thrift store with a great friend and they have fabric for $3 a bag? Then you dig through the pile and there are whole bolts of designer fabric in the bins? Well, $6 later you have 20 yards of fabulousness and you split it with your friend! And when that friend just happens to be Gina and she is hosting Transformation Thursday, you just have to transform SOMETHING! Check out my daughter’s new FAB bean bag!
Pooh seemed to be the perfect candidate for this transformation. How did you like him before? I prefer his after!
I just used the bean bag itself as my “pattern” and cut my pieces the same size. Sewing them up in a similar manner as the bean bag was originally constructed. I did make my “cover” larger than the bean bag. And we shoved the matching pooh comforter in with the bean bag. It made the bag sit up a little higher and a better size for my not so little girl!
Thirty cent a yard fabric is a VERY good thing! Stay tuned to my blog to see what else I do with it! I have BIG plans!
