As my little man and I collected shells at the Tennessee River, I wondered why they were all broken. There was not a good shell to be found. But they were this gorgeous white color and well I thought I could work with it. Visions of shell mirrors and hot glue danced in my head.
I broke out the glue gun and got to work. I quickly realized that these shells are extremely brittle. No shell mirror was in my immediate future. But it is a shame to let that gorgeous white go to waste.
So I broke out my hammer instead…yes hammer. I broke up the shells even more and added them to this jar. It lets the shimmer shine through..no hot glue required. My shell mirror will have to wait for another day.
Somehow the camera did not do justice to the shimmer…but y’all use your imagination.
