How to Make Felt Flowers:
Can’t watch the video or missed some of the steps? I also have step-by-step instructions to make Cricut felt flowers for you below.
Cut Felt with Your Cricut
First, you will need to cut both the flowers and leaves with your Cricut machine. I have more information on cutting felt with your Cricut here. I have the files designed to fill up one 12 x 12 sheet of felt. You can change the size of these and remove some of the pieces if you would like before cutting. NOTE: I like to change my Cricut Maker to the rotary blade before cutting this felt as I get better cuts.
Remove the pieces from your mat. Felt can make a mess on your mat so be sure to see our tricks for cleaning your Cricut mats here.
The rolled felt flowers are these spiral-shaped pieces (shown below).
Rolling Felt Flowers
Start at the end (not in the middle) and begin rolling the felt up.
Continue all the way around the flower. The scallops will become the flower petals. Stop once you get to the center. The large circle that is in the center is how you secure the flower. Just add a dollop of hot glue and press the bottom of the flower to the disc. You can use more hot glue on the bottom around the outer edge if needed.
Assembling Flat Felt Flowers
We also have flat felt flowers on these mats. You can stack these and use hot glue to secure if you wish. There are no rules with these! Just have fun with them!
Making a Felt Flower Wreath
Now, I had an embroidery hoop planned for this project but then I didn’t like the look of it once I started adding my felt flowers. You can use a grapevine wreath or just about anything else you have on hand.
Use the hot glue to secure felt flowers and leaves to the wreath.
Continue until you are happy with the look.
Now that you know how to make felt flowers, you can add them to tons of your craft projects.
They are so cute and now you can see just how easy they are to make.
So, how many DIY felt flowers will you make? And what will you put them on?

My daughter has some hair clips with these flowers on them! 😉
I will make tote bags and t shirts for the grandchildren with the infusible ink.
I tried to access the felt flowers file, but when it opened Design Space, it said Project Not Available. File Saved as Private! Help?!?
There is a glitch in design space right now. When you click to open it, instead of opening in the new design space, click to open in the online version of DS and see if that won’t let you open.
States the file is saved as private. Suggestions?
Fixed them! Try it now!
I loved your you tube video. New cricuter here. The felt file opens up blank in design space? Any suggestions? Thanks a bunch!
I just updated the links! See if they work now!
Hi! I have watched several of your YouTube videos and I was just wondering if it is possible to use the maple wood veneer to create rolled flowers? Wood flowers seem to be pretty popular right now.
Hmmm…I am not sure if that would work or not! I think it would split but it might be worth a try!
Ok! Thank you so much for your opinion!
