On any given weeknight, Instant Pot mac and cheese is an easy side dish recipe. I mean anything that uses the Instant Pot is a winner on a busy night! I thought I would share how to make this side dish today so you can add it to your recipe arsenal. After all, we can’t have enough recipes that get us through those nights of ball practices, dance rehearsals, and so much more!
Instant Pot Mac and Cheese
Ingredients
- ½ teaspoon onion powder
- 1 teaspoon dry mustard
- 3 cups dry Cavatappi pasta
- ¼ teaspoon pepper
- 3 ¼ cup water
- 1 tablespoon butter
- 3 ounces cream cheese
- ¾ cup milk
- 3 cups sharp cheddar cheese, shredded
- Instant Pot
Instructions:
- Combine first 6 ingredients in Instant Pot inner pot.
- Close the instant pot lid and turn pressure valve to seal. Cook on manual high pressure for 6 minutes.
- Allow for a quick pressure release and then add in the remaining ingredients, stirring in the cream cheese and cheddar cheese to melt with the pasta, and then adding in the milk a little at a time.
Makes 8 servings.
