If you are busy wrapping holiday gifts, you can make your own metallic gift tags with this super simple craft tutorial. Make these in minutes and tie them onto your gifts for a fun handmade touch. - Wooden circles (I always keep this value pack on hand for various craft projects)
- Americana Multi Surface Paint (in your choice of colors however I used cottonball)
- Hazel and Ruby Peel Away Mask (these are great and re-usable!)
- Decoart Metallic Lustre (I used gold rush but you can pick another color)
- Drill or wood hole punch
Paint the wood round with a few coats of multi surface paint. I painted the front and back for a more finished look. Allow to dry completely before continuing.
Stick on the masking letter and smooth with your finger to make sure it is adhered well. Use your finger to apply the metallic lustre to the exposed area. Use extra caution when going around the letter. You do not even need a paint brush as the lustre is a paste product that is easily applied with your finger tip.
Your presents will look amazing once you use this technique to make your own metallic gift tags. This is a fun project that the kids can even help with.
