Please welcome Kathryn with The Sugar Turntable! She is going to introduce you to her blog which will help you learn about fondant and other baking techniques!
I started The Sugar Turntable as an effort to dispel some of the mystery lurking around fondant. As the site has grown, I’ve branched out to all cake and cookie related desserts. I love to put a creative spin on a well known treat. The majority of my posts are step by step tutorials (with pictures for those of you who are visual learners).
Looking for a 4th of July dessert, my American Flag Layer Cake was born, but it works well for any patriotic occasion.
For those Alice in Wonderland enthusiasts out there, this is the Mad Hatter Tea Party Post which includes a link to the tutorial on the Mad Hatter Cake.
With school coming, I was on a back-to-school kick and had fun with these Chalkboard Cookies.
For those people just starting out, I have videos posted on my blog that cover the very basics of fondant cake-making. If you’ve always wanted to learn, these tutorials are a good place to start.
Enjoy the rest of the Summer!
