Painting Wicker Furniture Tutorial
Give your old wicker furniture a new life by transforming it with a paint facelift. This tutorial will guide you through the process step-by-step.
- Wicker furniture
- Paper
- Painter's Tape
- Krylon Spray Paint
- Canvas or other cover to protect your work surface optional
Give the furniture a few coats of your base paint color (I used Ballet Slipper).
Mask off the top of the table and cover other parts of the table with newspaper to prevent overspray.
Put a standard 8 1/2 x 11 piece of paper right in the center and secure it with painter’s tape.
Spray a few coats of Blue Ocean Breeze on the top of the table. Do a coat from each direction to get full coverage so that you will still have a pink area when you remove the piece of paper.
Place a 6-inch square piece of paper in the center and position it like a diamond. Tape around the square and pink rectangle. Continue to use newspapers to protect from overspray.
Spray with Citrus Green. Spray from all directions. Once it's dry, remove the paper tape and masking to reveal your completed design.
