I got my placemat at Big Lots. It was on sale for $2.3Now that is a budget-friendly pillow! You can pick up any placemat that you like and use this same technique to make a pillow. I loved this one for the appliques. Be sure to shop around and pick out the perfect placemat for your DIY pillow.

First, use your seam ripper to make a hole in one side. You want this to just be big enough to stuff your pillow through.

Then start stuffing with poly-fil until you like the way it looks.

Then just sew your opening closed with your sewing machine or by hand. You could even use some hot glue if the pillow is only for decorative purposes.
