Gnome Painted Garden Rocks
These adorable garden rocks are painted to look like sweet little garden gnomes! This lightning craft is perfect for kids, and a fun way to add a whimsical touch to your garden.
What You Will Need
- Rocks I look for ones that are fairly long and skinny
- Craft paint in red, white, black, and brown
- Paintbrushes
Instructions
Step 1: Paint the Gnome Hat
- Start by adding a hat to the top of your rock. You can paint both sides of your rock during these steps or stick with one side. That is completely up to you. This will require 2 - 3 coats so allow to dry in between coats.
Step 2: Give Your Garden Rock Gnome a Beard
- You will then add a beard to your gnome rocks. Just brush the white paint on leaving room for a nose later. You want to see the brush strokes here as they will make the beard look more real.
Step 3: Add a Nose to the Gnome Rock
- Mix a little bit of brown with the white. Then paint the nose in the center. Allow everything to dry before continuing.
Step 4: Add Dots to Your Gnome's Hat!
- Use the wrong side of the paintbrush dipped in white paint to add dots to the hat. Then use a fine paintbrush and black paint to add a smile to your gnome painted garden rocks.
