DIY Rustic Glam Wedding Decor
Use this tutorial to transform Dollar General items into glamorous and rustic wedding decor pieces to give the bride the wedding of her dreams on a budget!
What You Will Need
- Framed picture
- Gold glitter posterboard
- Mason jars with a chalkboard label
- Mason jar tea light holder
- Tealights
- Glue dots
- Metallic gold spray paint
- Gold glitter tape
- Mason jar string lights
Instructions
- Strip the framed picture and remove all hardware, etc. so that it can sit flat on the table without wobbling. This will become our "tray."
- Remove the inside picture.
- Remove any 3D elements from the picture so that the posterboard will lay flat.
- Using the picture as a template, cut a piece of gold glitter poster board to the same size.
- Used glue dots to attach the poster board to the picture.
- Reassemble your frame, and your tray is complete.
- Take the mason jar tea light holder and disassemble it.
- Spray paint the lid with metallic gold spray paint and wrap a strip of gold glitter tape around the burlap.
- Now wrap strips of the gold glitter around the tops of the mason jar string lights for some sparkle.
- Take the chalkboard mason jars and add a little personalized message (I used “we do”). Then fill them with flowers.
- Finally, once the paint is dry, reassemble the mason jar tea light holder. Add a tealight and it's ready to display.
