DIY Chalky Painted Nightstand
Transform your old or upcycled furniture with this simple painting method! I made a chalky painted nightstand, but you can use the same process on a coffee table, end table, or any other piece of furniture.
- Americana Chalky Finish Paint in Vintage and Everlasting
- Paintbrushes
- Brocade motif stencil
- Painter's or masking tape
- Krylon ColorMaster spray paint
- Americana Décor Crème Wax
I painted the chest in the color Everlasting and the front of the drawers with the color Vintage. Since I used chalky paint, no prep work was needed before painting.
I used a brocade motif stencil to create the design on top. I applied the chalky paint with a stencil brush. Remove your stencil from the nightstand surface as soon as you are done painting.
Use spray paint to paint the knob hardware. You may need to paint multiple coats.
Once the paint dries, apply two coats of Americana Creme Wax to seal and protect your new paint job.
