Equipment

  • Fabric Grip Mat
  • Weeding Tool
  • LightGrip Mat
  • EasyPress Mini
  • Mini Football Cornhole Cut File

What You Will Need

  • Americana Gloss Enamels Paint White
  • Americana Acrylic Writers White
  • Americana Acrylic Paint Leaf Green
  • Mini cornhole boards (the ones I used are no longer available but there are quite a few options on Amazon)
  • Adhesive Vinyl
  • Brown Felt
  • Painter’s tape
  • Something to fill your footballs (corn, buttons, beans, etc)
  • Iron-on
  • Transfer Tape

Instructions

  • Prepping Mini Cornhole Boards
  • To begin I painted my boards white. It took a couple coats to cover the whole board really well.
  • I like the glossy sheen of the Gloss Enamels paint, you can use whatever white paint you prefer.

Adding Football Field Details

  • Once the white paint was completely dried and cured I used a wide painter's tape to create the yard line markers.
  • Originally I also added vinyl numbers to either side of the painter's tape. You can do this or you can cut your vinyl numbers with your Cricut machine the color you want them to be and add them after the fact.
  • Now we're going to paint over the entire mini football cornhole board with green paint. This includes over the top of the painter's tape and the numbers. Apply a few coats to make sure it's all covered really well.
  • Allow the paint to dry slightly and then remove the painter's tape and vinyl numbers. This will leave you with a two-tone football field mini cornhole board.
  • If you chose to cut the numbers out of vinyl in the final color you want them to be, wait for the paint to dry completely and then using transfer tape apply them to the board on either side of the yard line markers.

How to Make Felt Footballs

  • Originally I freehand cut my felt football shapes with scissors.
  • You can also use your Cricut Maker machine to cut out the felt pieces.
  • You can either use a writing paint like the Americana Writer to make the football stitching or you can cut the stitching out of HTV and press it onto the felt football shapes.
  • I made six total football bean bags.
  • To create the football-shaped bean bags sew two pieces wrong sides together about 3/4 of the way around and then fill them. I actually used bottoms to fill my shapes. You could also use corn, beans, or beads.
  • Once the footballs are filled sew the remainder of the shape closed.
