Equipment

  • Pillow to cover
  • Fabric (enough to cover the pillow)
  • Fabric lining (optional but some fabric is too thin and your pillow will show through)
  • Sewing machine

What You Will Need

  • FrogTape® Shape Tape™
  • DecoArt Americana Multi-Surface Paint in the color of your choice

Instructions

  • Measure your pillow from seam to seam. Cut the fabric to the size of your pillow plus half an inch on each side. If your fabric is thin, you may need a liner as well (I did in this case).
  • Iron all fabric pieces. Paint the chevron stripes with your FrogTape® Shape Tape™ as shown in the video. (see notes)
  • Place your fabric right sides together. If you needed a liner, the order should be liner, fabric face up, fabric face down, and second liner piece.
  • Sew around three of the four sides plus about 2 inches on either end of the fourth side. Sew about half an inch from the edge. You will now have an opening on one side.
  • Turn the pillow cover right side out through the opening and push out all corners. Insert your pillow into the cover.
  • Sew opening closed along edge making sure your seam allowance is turned in. Use a coordinating thread if available for this step.
  • Your pillow is done and ready to be displayed proudly in your home.
