What You Will Need

  • Wood panel I used the 6x6 version
  • Ink
  • Dry foam or styrofoam
  • Foam cutter or serrated knife
  • Hot glue and a glue gun
  • Moss
  • Faux succulents
  • Sawtooth hanger

Instructions

  • The wood panel that I used looks kind of like a shadow box. I wanted to stain it, so I used the Vintage Photo distressed ink. Rub with the grain of the wood on all of the edges. It gives it a distressed look, which is exactly what I was going for.
  • Cut the craft foam to fit into the shadow box using a craft knife. Glue into place using hot glue.
  • Cover the surface with a thin layer of moss to cover up any exposed areas.
  • Trim the succulents.
  • Add hot glue to the bottom of the succulents and push into the foam at an angle. You want it to be full so that you won't be able to see any of the craft foam, so you'll need to really shove them in there.
  • Add a sawtooth hanger to the back of the shadow box.
  • Hang on the wall in your favorite place!
