Black Cat Cupcakes
Mix up a batch of black cat cupcakes for a spooky addition to any Halloween party!
- 12 cupcakes
- 2 cups chocolate frosting
- 1/2 cup Black jimmie sprinkles
- 1/4 cup Black fondant
- 6 Starburst Unwrapped candies cut in half diagonally
- 24 yellow Reese’s Pieces candies or M&Ms
- 2 tbsp Black frosting
Using the toothpick and black frosting, draw a line in the center of each yellow candy. Allow the frosting to set completely.
Pipe black frosting over cupcake in a circular direction working from the center of the cupcake towards the outside.
Then invert cupcakes and press into the black jimmies.
Position a half Starburst Unwrapped candy as the cat’s nose.
Press one yellow candy “eye” to each side of the “nose.”
Then roll the fondant flat and cut 24 triangles. Press fondant triangles into the top side of each cupcake as the cat’s ears.
Using the remaining fondant, roll into long strands and cut into 6 whiskers for each cupcake.
Then, with a toothpick, press the end of the whiskers beside the “nose.”
