What You Will Need

  • 1 Cupcake make your favorite recipe or pick up some from the bakery
  • 1 White gumball
  • 2 tbsp White icing (homemade or purchased)
  • 1 tbsp Strawberry jam or jelly

Instructions

How to Make Edible Eye Cupcake Toppers:

  • For the actual eyeball, you will need white gumballs and edible food markers.  Yes these markers are completely food safe.  Just draw right on the gumball and add spooky eyes along with blood shot lines.  You can pick both of these up in the cake decorating section of your store.
  • This part is great to have the kids help with. You really can't mess these up! Have them draw on the gumballs to make spooky eyes in all colors. They will love participating in the cupcake decorating and you will love having the help if you are making a bunch of these Halloween eye cupcakes.

Assembling These Easy Halloween Cupcakes

  • Start by making your favorite cupcakes.  You can make them from a box mix or even buy store-bought cupcakes with plain white icing.  Either way, the toppings are going to be what adds the spook factor to this fun idea.  I like making things as easy as possible. So, place an order with your local bakery for the cupcakes themselves. After all, it is the edible eyes that really make this one spooky!
  • Once you have your cupcakes, add a dollop of your favorite strawberry jam or jelly on top of the white icing.  Then sink that eyeball gum right in the center.  Those cupcakes will be looking at you...in a most bloody way!  Add these bloody eye cupcakes to your Halloween celebration.  They are sure to be the hit of the party....and they are so easy to make!
