What You Will Need

  • 5 wood slats 1 1/2" x 3/8" x 24" mine came from Lowes
  • 8 wood stars
  • Paint in red white, and blue
  • Adhesive
  • Paintbrushes

Instructions

  • Paint the wood slats. Two should be red, two white, and one blue. These slats are at my local Lowes precut to length making this project super simple. You will also want to paint the stars with white paint. You may need two coats of paint per piece. Just allow one coat to dry and add a second coat.
  • When the paint is completely dry, add the wood stars to the blue slat with the adhesive. Be sure to use a good quality outdoor paint if your project will be outdoors.
  • Then lay the slats out in a star shape with the blue one on top. Use adhesive anywhere that the slats touch.
  • Allow the adhesive to dry completely then display your large wooden star anywhere indoors or out!
