Time once again for a little organization! This time I am tackling the shoes in the mud room.
I did not take a before picture. But picture a rug, a pile of shoes...that was before.
This is after.....
Do you think I can keep it looking this way? Any other suggestions?? I could keep the huge pile and just build a skirt around the sink to hide it. That would not be very convenient when you actually want to FIND the shoes though... I am up for any thoughts you have!

I have shelves for shoes too. I limit everyone to no more than three pairs at a time. The rest have to go to their rooms. Otherwise it just becomes hazardous with people tripping over the wayward shoe. When they get too many by the door and aren't home to take care of them, I grab a pile and put them by the stairs for them to take up to their rooms when they get home. Not ideal perhaps but it works.

We just did a porch/shoe attack too! I actually bought a book shelf at Canadian Tire for all my heels etc , and left the bottom nook a little bigger for boots at the bottom... it's still chocolate brown press board, but I think I might paint it white in an upcoming move; maybe even add some molding :)
It's nice having them all on display, right!? So much easier! Good on you! :)
We have a shoe basket..but every week I try to empty it and send all the shoes back to everyones closets...that way they don't stack up so much..
I keep my shoes in a big clear tupperware bin in my closet. That way they're all in one place, but I can still see through the box to figure out what I want to wear.
