DIY Love Bird Ornament

Time for day 2 of Craft Lightning.  All week 30 Minute Crafts and I are sharing crafts that can be completed in 15 minutes or less (excluding dry time).  Every morning there will be a new craft and every afternoon there will be a quick craft round up from great bloggers that are joining us.  You can also link up YOUR quick craft at our linky party for a chance at a feature everyday this week.  I am sharing another ornament with y'all today.  My love bird ornament would be great on your tree or to give as a gift.

I bought a pre-cut wood shape from Walmart for this project.  I coated the entire thing front and back with a silver metallic paint.

I then used some dimensional fabric paint from Tulip in white metallic.  Yes it is for fabric but trust me it worked fine on the Christmas ornament and I love the effect.

I outlined the entire bird and wing with the dimensional paint.

I used some small stamps and Staz-on ink to stamp "love" on the wing.  I actually stamped while the dimensional paint was still wet.  I then set the entire thing aside to dry.

After your project is dry, punch or drill a hole and add a ribbon to hang.  So simple yet elegant.  I love that metallic sparkle!
