How To Make World Map Wedding Guest Book
Step 1: Find A Map
First, you will need a map for this project. Pick something that the bride and groom love. They can then frame this guest book after the festivities are over as a memorable keepsake..
If you liked the map that I used in this project, you can get your own copy on Amazon! The map is 20 inches by 28 inches, so it’s the perfect size for this wedding guest book project. This is something to keep in mind because, regardless of what map you choose, I would encourage you to use a large world map so there is plenty of room for guests to add their well wishes!

Step 2: Add A Free Printable Sign
Print out our free printable sign and add it to the frame of your choice! I love this printable in a rustic white frame, but you could also use a clipboard or another color or style of frame if you wish.

FAQs About Map Wedding Guest Book
Here are a few common questions that I often see readers asking about making this Map Wedding Guest Book. If you have a question, please check if I’ve already addressed it below. If you don’t see your question listed, please leave it in the comments.
What Type Of Maps Can I Used For This Project?
Any type that you like!
You could use a map similar to the one above, or you can get creative and buy a map that is already a piece of home decor. For example, a map on canvas, a map on wood, or even a map wall hanging! You could even get a folded map, if you like that look better!
What Did You Print Your Sign On?
I printed my sign onto regular copy paper, but you could use cardstock instead.
How Can I Display This Map For Signing?
Personally, I think the best method for displaying your map is putting it flat on a table. This is because it will allow your guests to sign the map more easily. However, if you are looking for something a bit more creative, you could display your map in one of the following ways:
- Hang it on the wall using tape or clips.
- Attach your map to a board using tape or clips, then prop it up on an easel.
- Add your map to a frame (remove the glass for signing) and either lay it flat on a table or prop it up on an easel.
The only thing to keep in mind is that if you buy a different type of map (like a folded map or a map wall hanging), that might affect the way you can display the map for signing.
What Markers Do You Recommend For Signing The Map?
When it comes to your guests signing your map, I recommend that they use Sharpie Markers. This is because they are good-quality markers, are fairly inexpensive, and can be purchased in a variety of colors.
