Does a post you read ever just stop you in your tracks? Just leave you in awe? Just make you wanna go out and make it RIGHT THAT INSTANT? Well The Nester’s Terrarium Post did it to me. I mean mouth open wide, have to have it, gotta do it now, must have a terrarium….
Now I feel oh so much better! I didn’t have a jar to make one like was featured on the nester. Off to the thrift store and goodwill. Hmm…cloche-like dome at goodwill for $2. Wheels started turning. Add in the wooden stand for $1 and the finial like thing for 49 cents (both thift store finds) and my wheels were SPINNING!
Please ignore reflection in globe — I am not sure — maybe I was dancing when taking the pic???!?!?!
I painted the stand and finial black. Mini confession — I did not want the pots to sit directly on the wood. I spray painted a butter lid black and it is what is actually under the pots…shhh…don’t tell. Glued the finial to the cloche. Found some chippy painted mini-pots in an old barn on our farm. Throw in some free moss growing on an old log…..
I absolutely LOVE this! It may be the best $3.50 I have ever spent…
