Oreo truffles are the perfect football party dessert! Just whip up a batch in minutes and serve them while watching the big game. These would also be perfect for an after game snack for the little ones. After all, who can resist Oreo cookies? I know I can’t! So, when you turn them into chocolate truffles, that is even better! Just two ingredients are all you need to turn store-bought cookies from blah to wow!
Oreo Truffles Recipe
Ingredients:
- 48 Oreo cookies
- 8 oz cream cheese (room temperature)
Instructions:
First, you will need to finely crush about 36 Oreo cookies. I used my food processor and it worked like a dream. Crush the cookies with the filling inside.
Then add the cream cheese to the food processor and mix it all together until smooth.
To make them look like footballs, form about a tablespoon of the mix into an oblong shape. Repeat with all of the mixture and lay out your footballs on parchment paper.
Separate the remaining 12 cookies. Add the filling to a bowl and the cookies to the food processor. Process the cookies until they are fine dust and sprinkle over the top of your Oreo truffles. Add the filling from the bowl to a piping bag and pipe “laces” on your little football truffles.
Add your mini football desserts to a serving tray. Then just serve up your football truffles to any guests that may stop by during the game. These bite-sized desserts are the perfect finger food for any football game.
Football season will be here before you know it, so be sure to keep the ingredients on hand for Oreo truffles. You will be so glad that you did! I don’t know about you, but I am at any football party just for the food! If you are anything like me, these chocolate truffles will really hit the spot.
