Supplies needed to make this 4th of July door decor:
How to Make Patriotic Door Decor:
Gather your supplies and then put this wreath together for the 4th of July in no time at all. This works well as door decor but can hang on a wall or above your mantel as well.
Wood Star Door Decor
- Pallet wood stars (3)
- Craft paint in red, white, and blue
- Power-tac adhesive
- Each of the stars comes with a rope hanger attached to them. You will need to remove that first. I just pulled off the staples and removed each one.
- Paint each of the stars with the craft paint. You may need two to three coats depending on what paint you use. Allow to dry in between coats and completely before continuing.
- Use Power-tac adhesive to secure the stars together. Allow them to dry laying flat on a table.
Once dry, just hang your patriotic door decor on any door of your home. This is definitely a different spin on a wreath but it looks amazing hanging up. Welcome guests with a trio of wood stars in patriotic colors.
I personally love these pallet wood stars but you can probably find an alternative for this using stars that don’t have the slats. Also, these are BIG so this one really makes a statement when you hang it up. You can also try to find a smaller alternative if you would like.
I find that the Beacon Power-tac adhesive works great on these to hold them together. You could use screws or nails if you would like. I literally only used the glue and it worked so well that they even held when I dropped this entire thing on the floor. So, I would say hanging it will be fine for a really long time.
So, what are you waiting for? Get your supplies and make this patriotic door decor for your home this summer. Everyone will love how it looks!
