One of the most common questions I get is: Where do I find designs to use with my sublimation printer? If you’ve been wondering which designs work best for sublimation — or where to find them — you’re in the right place! Today, I’m answering all those questions and sharing my five favorite sites for finding sublimation-ready designs. Keep reading to learn exactly what to look for and where to find it.

What Sublimation Images Can You Print?
First things first, you can really print any image or picture with your sublimation printer. It can be in JPG or PNG format. If you have a photo of your children on your phone, you could print it on your sublimation printer.
Technically, you want any images to be a resolution of 300 DPI. Don't get caught up in that number, though! Most modern cameras capture images at a resolution fine for printing on your sublimation printer. Snap pictures of your kids with your phone and print them on your sublimation printer.
If you're using pictures you've taken in the past, you might find that some of the quality has diminished due to the resolution requirement. I scanned copies of some really old pictures, but the resolution wasn't great. It gave my project a really old sepia tone, and I actually liked it. If the photo isn't at the resolution you want, just print it and try it on a cheap blank or a roll of 100% polyester fabric. I think you might find that you like the look.
Where to Find Sublimation Designs
If you're looking for other images and sublimation designs, I have five places where I tend to get those. Let's run down the top five places where I find sublimation designs for my sublimation projects.
Design Bundles
The first one is Design Bundles. There are tons of great options for sublimation designs. The thing I like about them is their really great freebie section, where you might find something you want for your sublimation project.Â
Creative Fabrica
The second one is CreativeFabrica for the same reasons. There is a huge library of designs, which is wonderful. Again, they have a really large freebie area, so it's a great place to find freebies for your sublimation projects.Â
SoFontsy
Number three is SoFontsy. They have tons of different SVG files, of course, and also sublimation designs, if you didn't know that.Â
Etsy
The fourth place I always turn to is Etsy. Those would all be purchased designs, but I tend to find a wide variety of designs there. Plus, I get to support a small business, so it's kind of a win-win for me. I usually turn to Etsy for sublimation prints I can't find anywhere else.Â
HungryJPEG
Finally, number five is HungryJPEG. It's another really great site for finding those images for your projects. Now, they do have a freebie area; however, it's not as large as DesignBundles or CreativeFabrica. You can definitely surf around there and find some freebies, too. They have a ton of great designs and bundles to check out for your sublimation projects.
A few more resources
I couldn't leave you with just these five options. Here are a few more places to find your perfect design for your project. Let me know in the comments if you have a favorite place that isn't listed on this list.
I hope this helps you find all of the sublimation designs and get started creating with your sublimation printer. Whether you just got a printer and are just getting started with sublimation, or you've been doing sublimation for a while, maybe this will give you some ideas for places to get new designs and start making all those things, because there are so many sublimation blanks on the market. You're going to need plenty of designs to go with those!Â
