Spring Mantle {Mantel} for Easter

Ready for my spring mantle (mantel) reveal?  Yes it is almost Easter already….I can’t believe it either.  This time I went a little rustic, a little quirky, but with a LOT of love…

The star of the show is the chalkboard.  I gave the kids some chalk markers and told them to make me some spring inspired art.  It turned out great don’t you think?  This is the perfect way to showcase their artwork front and center in my home.

I added in my extra large twine Easter eggs from yesterday.  The flowers are faux…..I went out hunting fresh flowers from the creek bank but came up empty handed.  We are just not far enough into the spring weather yet.  That terra cotta bunny was a 99 cent goodwill score from last week.  He became the mantle inspiration.

The moss covered rocks came from the dollar tree some time ago.  The large galvanized pails where a 50 cent each thrift store find (SCORE!).

Another star of the show, the open frame with peeps bunny garland.  I will have a tutorial on it later this week.  Follow along and don’t miss it!

The Hippity Hoppity Happity Easter blocks I actually won from a blog giveaway last year.  I cannot find the name of the etsy shop right now.  If you are that shop owner, leave me a comment and I will gladly link to you!

That is the grand tour.  I must say every time I look up and see that chalkboard, I smile.  It is seriously one of the best decorating decisions I have made in a while.  I am wondering what I can have them draw for my summer mantle….any ideas?
