With just a handful of easy steps and a few basic supplies, you'll have this hack ready in no time!
Supplies Needed For IKEA Moppe Hack
- Americana Decor Satin Enamels – I chose Seaside Blue.
- Americana Gel Stains – I chose Walnut.
- IKEA Moppe
- 4 Bun Feet
- 6 Cup Handles
- Screws and nuts for handles
- Paintbrushes – Use a medium- or large-sized paintbrush for the paint. For the stain on the drawers, you'll want to make sure you have a smaller paintbrush to handle the details and edges.
- Rag
- Wood Glue
- Drill – Any kind of drill you have is good for this craft.
- Drill Bit – Don't get started without confirming you have the correct drill bit sizes!
NOTE: Make sure you have enough paint and stain for this IKEA Moppe, as you'll need more than one coat. Also, make sure all parts are dry before assembling, and use safety precautions when working with power tools.
TIP: If the screw heads are not the same color as your handles, use DecoArt Dazzling Metallics to paint the heads.

Step 1: Paint IKEA Moppe
First, paint the entire exterior of the IKEA Moppe. I painted the inside just a bit for a more finished look. This may take 2 coats, so be sure to let the first coat dry completely before adding the second.

Step 2: Stain The Drawers
While that is drying, you can stain your drawers. Apply the stain to all surfaces, allow it to sit for a few minutes, and then wipe away any excess with a rag. Allow these pieces to dry completely before continuing.

Step 3: Attach The Feet
Next, you will also want to stain the bun feet. Be sure to remove any screws from the feet before staining. Attach the feet to the bottom of the outer shell with adhesive once they are dry.

Step 4: Assemble IKEA Moppe
Once everything is dry, you can work on assembly. Start by adding a handle to each drawer. I actually turned the drawers around so the back, without the cutout, is now the front. Use the handles to mark the holes, then drill them out with a drill bit.

Step 5: Attach The Handles
Then use screws and nuts to attach your handles to your piece.

Step 6: Add The Drawers
Finally, just add the drawers to your Moppe. This IKEA hack is ready to help you organize anything, anytime!

How To Use IKEA Moppe Hack
This IKEA Moppe hack is great for any home office, kitchen, laundry room, bathroom, or bedroom!

These storage drawers would also be great for organizing keys, beauty supplies, jewelry, socks, and so much more!
