These spiced almonds are perfect for fall! The addition of pumpkin pie spice is simply delicious!

Spiced Almonds Recipe

  • 1/4 cup water
  • 3/4 cup sugar (divided)
  • 1 tablespoon (plus a few pinches) pumpkin pie spice
  • 1 cup raw almonds
  • Salt

Directions:

Line a baking sheet with parchment paper.  In a medium saucepan, combine water, 1/2 cup sugar, and 1 tablespoon pumpkin pie spice.  Bring the mixture to a full boil then add the almonds.  Cook for a few minutes until the mixture is syrupy then pour the almond mixture onto a baking sheet.  Salt immediately to taste then separate them with your fork.  You will also need to pull them away from any excess liquid.  Allow to cool completely.  At this point, the almonds will be slightly sticky.  Add 1/4 cup of sugar along with a few pinches of pumpkin pie spice to a zip topped bag then shake to mix.  Add in almonds a few at a time and shake to coat.  Remove from bag and add to a serving bowl.  These spiced almonds are now ready to eat!

Oh Angie you’re killing me. I love nuts but am unable to eat them any longer due to losing all my bottom teeth about 4 yrs now. Have had no thyroid all my life and a terrible case of osteoporosis. Have bulging disks in neck and back, collapsed vertebrae and a few other problems resulting in losing bone in my mouth. Wondering how much longer will have upper teeth. Can’t afford dentures.
I miss being able to eat several things but apples and nuts are top of list, sigh.
These look so good can almost taste them so will make for Mr Furry and family for holidays. The mr.loves his nuts, always has. Thks for sharing this recipe.
    Have great weekend

Thanks so much for sharing your wonderful post with us at Full Plate Thursday this week. Please keep our great state of Texas in your thoughts and prayers as we are struggling with the aftermath of Hurricane Harvey. Hope you have a good week.
