Another great week on The CSI Project. I am entering this on into the wall decor category.
~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~
Still working on projects for my bathroom. Let me tell y'all I painted all weekend last weekend.....whew...am I ever tired! But I am so close to a reveal! For now, here is a little project I worked on...
My framed burlap letter....and a sneak peak at the wall color. You will need a frame, some fabric, and burlap. I used a piece of the actual curtains, however it was see through -- so I used a white background fabric also. For the frame finish -- I rubbed certain areas with candle wax -- spray painted white -- then the candle wax areas rub right off....
Spray the cardboard in the frame with spray adhesive. Attach a piece of that white fabric.
Spray with adhesive again and attached a piece of that green fabric (piece of the curtains).
And when you choose a fabric with stripes....attach and reattach til they look straight...sigh... Then cut a letter out of burlap. Attach that to the green fabric with LOTS of white glue. Glue around all edges -- it will keep them from fraying.
Let that dry a looooong time...reassemble frame with glass...you are DONE!
Boy it is hard to take a picture of glass...
I am slowly working on the bathroom redo...hopefully to be revealed soon! Then you can check this "H" out in place!

Angie, I really like this! Very cool.
I love this. It is so cool and I'll have to try it with an "N". Can't wait to see your bathroom remodel.

Okay - can you be any more amazing!! Your ideas stun me. I have to say that I have had more inspirational ideas since following your blog than ever. Thanks for your creative inspiration!!
Hey Angie, thanks for your cute comment on my basket post. I hope you can join, 'cause right now it's cricket-ville. You are really smokin' girl, I can't believe you've only been blogging since Jan.!
Hi Angie,
What a great idea. You're so clever to have put those fabrics together that way - I love the monogram! Did you do that free hand or find a font online? Just wondering how to start-
I'd love for you to stop by for a visit sometime.

I printed the "H" off of word -- just blow it up to where it just about fills a regular size sheet of paper. Use that as your template. And oh no -- no freehand here!! :) The template is the exact same one I used for my sheet music letter actually!
Hi Angie,
It's me again! I found the peace sign on Google images, copied it, ironed fusible fabric on the back, cut it out, top-stitched around it and I was done! Easy!!
Thanks for visiting.
