Starfish Wreath - Summer comes to my front door!

The CSI Project is having a wall decor week....gotta enter my fave wreath!

Yesterday's post was all about decorating for summer with seashells and starfish.  I could not leave out the front door...
Come on summer I am ready!  To make this one you are going to need a wreath form, some rope, some brown paper, and some mini starfish.  My brown paper is just the packaging material that came from a package.  A great place to get mini starfish (or any other seashells) is Quality Shells.  (Look in the "Tan Starfish" section for the ones I used.)
I just tore my paper into long strips about 6 inches wide.  Then crinkled up the strips and wrapped them around the wreath form.
Continue until it is covered.  Then hot glue on your mini starfish in a random pattern.
I had about 100 of these starfish and used all but a few on the wreath.  I then just made a tie out of rope.  Fraying the ends of the rope finished it off.
Welcome Summer!

Very cute, I love how you finished it off with the white rope, very "nautical" looking. Thanks for sharing!

Thanks for stopping by my blog! Love this look. I think I am going to have to copy your wreath wrapped in paper. So cute!

Thank you for stopping by www.containchaos.com to weigh in earlier today. I had to come check out what was going on at the Cottage! My favorite part of this project is the layered rope hanger. It adds dimension without overwhelming it and has a clean, crisp look! Thanks!

Love it, love it, love it! I'm about 10 miles maybe from the beach (by highway) and this really gets me into beach mode! Not that I like to lay around and get fried. We love searching for beach glass and little creatures!
