I have some free printable Thanksgiving dessert tags for you today as well as a great way for you to help your U.S. military service members. You will need your Marie Callender’s small apple pies, the free printable tags below, bags, paper plates, ribbon, plus a computer to enter codes only found on Marie Callender’s frozen products.
I picked up the Marie Callender’s frozen small apple pies at my local grocery store. Unwrap and bake according to the package directions. Be sure to save those packages as we will be using those in a second.
Be sure to cook completely and make sure they are done by inserting a thermometer. Allow to cool before proceeding.
Once cool, grab gallon sized plastic bags and my printable Thanksgiving dessert tags. I printed mine on white card stock, cut to size, and punched a hole. Place the cooled pie onto the paper plate and into the plastic bag.
Tie the top of the plastic bag with a length of ribbon. Cut off the top portion of the bag then add your Thanksgiving dessert tags. You are ready to send dessert home with your guests in style. I know my Thanksgiving bunch always eats too much during the meal and never has enough room left to eat dessert. This fixes that problem!
Now why did I tell you to keep that box? It is for the Marie Callender’s Comforts From Home project. They make it super easy to support the brave men and women of the U.S. military. Simply enter the eight-digit code found on specially marked packages of Marie Callender’s dinners and desserts online. For every entry by 1/31/2015 of an 8-digit code found on participating products, Marie Callender’s will donate $.50 to the USO2GO program. Guaranteed minimum donation: $100,000. Maximum donation: $250,000. Limit 5 code entries per person/computer each day. Valid in U.S. Only. Awesome right? Each kit sent will contain comforts from home for your troops.
