Shabby Pumpkin Fall Garland

Time to put those sweater pumpkins to work!  I took the sleeves of that white fuzzy sweater and made some smaller pumpkins perfect for a garland!  I did not even stuff these...they were so small that the sweater itself was enough stuffing! :)  My shabby pumpkin fall garland...  And if you need instructions for the sweater pumpkins...click on over for a full tutorial...NO SEWING REQUIRED!
First for the garland, I used a piece of twine and tied on random scrappy strips.  Burlap, muslin, canvas, just any neutral I had on hand.
Then I used hemp cording to tie on my little white pumpkins...
For these pumpkins, I actually used part of the sweater for the stem as well.  It is just a piece from around the neck and rolled up.  Then wrapped with lots of hemp cording.
More hemp cording become little twists to add a touch of whimsy to these little guys....
Everything is literally just tied on.  I did use glue to attach the stems to the pumpkins but that is it.  Everything else is just knots...
Cute little white fuzzy pumpkins make this shabby garland perfect for your fall decor...
Yes {for now} mine is hanging off the wood pile for a photo shoot...have no fear you will see where it ends up later...
But for now, it dresses up the wood pile out back very well...  :)

Super cute, Angie! I love the softness of the sweaters.

Absolutely wonderful! I have just the place to hang these. I just have to rummage up an old sweater!

I'd love for you to join my link party:

Great shabby garland. I like it in the neutral colors. I love it because you recycle old clothing. Great idea!!
Cheers!

Way FUN! I love the idea of using a sweater. I have a burnt orange sweater I'm fighting having to get rid of, now I don't have too! Thanks for the adorable idea!!!

LOVE this idea!!! I've seen the little sweater pumpkins everywhere but this is a nice twist on that idea :) I'll be storing this away in my mental file of ideas!!!!

This has got to be the most creative, pretty way for pumpkins. I really love it, and as a garland is very imaginative. I would love if you would post this at Sunday's Best Linky party. I sure hope so.

These are such sweet and cozy pumpkins...perfect for fall!

So cute. I love it. I got some old sweaters from the Thrift store last year. I was going to make some pumkins this year with them but I haven't yet. I better get moving it will be Christmas soon.
