I can’t leave Craft Lightning without an edible Halloween treat. These bloody eye cupcakes should fit the bill just fine. They are so easy to make and you will be the hit of any Halloween party! If you have missed any of the Craft Lightning fun, you can see the 15 minute Halloween crafts by clicking on day 1, day 2, and day 3. You can also see even more from our partner blogs at the bottom of this post. Now lets make some bloody eye cupcakes to serve at any Halloween party!
Start by making your favorite cupcakes. You can make them from a box mix or even buy store bought cupcakes with plain white icing. Either way, the toppings are going to be what adds the spook factor to this fun idea. For the actual eyeball, you will need white gumballs and edible food markers. Yes these markers are completely food safe. Just draw right on the gumball and add spooky eyes along with blood shot lines. You can pick both of these up in the cake decorating section of your store.
Add a dollop of your favorite strawberry jam or jelly on top of the white icing. Then sink that eyeball gum right in the center. Those cupcakes will be looking at you…in a most bloody way! Add these bloody eye cupcakes to your Halloween celebration. They are sure to be the hit of the party….and they are so easy to make!
