Let's Talk About The Farmhouse Style
If you have been a long-time follower of the blog, then you know that I love all things farmhouse and rustic!
I have tried my best to give every inch of our home a farmhouse feel, whether it's our bedroom, front porch, laundry room, or mud room. However, the kitchen is the one area of our home that definitely needs more of that farmhouse style.
At the moment, it has a farmhouse look, which I truly love, but at some point, I would like to update the counter and backsplash, and potentially give the cabinets a new coat of paint.
With all the updates I want to make, I have been researching different farmhouse kitchens to see what would work best for our family. I thought it would be fun to share some of my favorite farmhouse kitchen ideas I have seen, in case you are in the same boat and are looking for some inspiration!

I wish I could take credit but the previous owners put in an apron front farmhouse sink and I love it! Water splashes are wiped up easily, I don’t have to fight a divided sink to wash larger objects. That white, always looks fresh and clean.
hi, on the fixer upper, i loved the beams. that would be my dream house. beams all over the house. i would definitely do beams.
I absolutely LOVE my single-bowl apron-front farmhouse sink. It’s wide enough that I can submerge my entire submersible Teflon electric griddle to wash it or to let soak if necessary. It’s deep enough that my grandsons can splash to their hearts’ content without a huge mess.
It was the one part of the kitchen design in my new home that was completely non-negotiable; I would give up my dishwasher and return to doing dishes by hand (in my wonderful sink) than to capitulate and do without my farmhouse sink. It’s just NOT happenin’! 😲
