DIY Tiered Planter Pots with Patio Paint with @decoart_inc #ad
Before we get to the great DIY tiered planters I have a great announcement for y’all. I am working with Decoart now and am so excited! I get tons of great fun and new products to try out and y’all get to see some great projects from me. First up is this great project with the Decoart patio paint. I love these tiered planters and you will too. These are the perfect gift for Mother’s Day plus the decoration and painting is easy enough that the kids can help.
Grab some terra cotta pots at the store. You will need two of each size pot and saucer.
The patio paint really does great with the porous surface. This is after one coat.
The pot on the left was two coats on the one on the right was one coat. The two coats in this blue was just right.
The green however did not cover quite as well. So if you choose a lighter color be prepared for additional coats.
It took about 4 coats for the pot on the left to look great.
Now lets decorate our pots. Grab a toilet paper or paper towel roll and slightly crush it. Dip in the patio paint and make a decorative edge on each pot. This part is so super simple that the kids can help with it.
You are left with some great looking planters but when we make them tiered it will be even better.
Fill the larger pot partially with dirt and pack down. Then add your small saucer and pot.
Fill both pots the rest of the way with dirt and you are done. You now have some great DIY Tiered Planter Pots. I personally love to alternate the colors.
These are perfect for a Mother’s Day gift for yourself or your mom. Fill them with flowers and give them a gift they will love.
