How to Make a Mason Jar Soap Dispenser
- Start by painting your mason jar in the color of your choice. Be sure to start with a clean jar before painting. I like to clean mine with rubbing alcohol then allow to dry before painting. Add two coats of paint allowing to dry in between coats.
- Download the cut file above and upload to your Cricut machine. You can see how to do that here.
- Cut the file from the vinyl of your choice.
- Weed away all excess vinyl. Weeding tools make this easier but they are optional.
- Then, once the paint is dry, use transfer tape to put the vinyl on the front of your DIY mason jar soap dispenser.
- Add the soap pump to the top and you are ready to add your Rae Dunn inspired project to your bathroom.
Make one of these cute dispensers for every bathroom in your home. Because, seriously, they need to wash their hands!

Angie, this is such a cute idea I am going to try it for my home! Can you tell me do you use anything to help seal the paint and vinyl to the jar so it doesn’t come off if it gets wet?
Thanks for all you do!
Gerry
I just use permanent vinyl with no sealer.
